 Toddler swimming Duppe and Elias for children aged 4 to 6 years old

Toddler swimming Duppe and Elias are for children aged 4 to 6 years and should first and foremost be an activity that takes place on the children's premises. The goal is for the children to be safe and happy in water. All activity that takes place must, as far as possible, be based on play, social interaction, joy and well-being. 

This is an activity that parents / guardians do together with the child, and they should act as a link between the instructor and the child. With this as a starting point, an environment is created for learning and mastering different skills. With these play activities, it contributes to safety in the water for children and parents / guardians and the experience of mastering for the child on their own. Based on the play activities, the children learn to utilize the water's properties - diving, floating, gliding, propulsion - important from a self-rescue perspective. The children can be divided according to skills:


Level 1 - Intermgoals for Duppe

  • Pull oneself along the edge of the pool
  • Float on the back with minimal support while a parent/instructor counts to 5 (5 seconds)
  • Submerge the entire head underwater and retrieve an object with the hands
  • Swim one body length with flutter kicks
  • Jump into the water- Surface -Roll onto the back to catch  breath - Return to the starting point with minimal support
Level 2 - Intermgoals for Elias

  • Float relaxed / controlled on front and on the back
  • Rotate from back to stomach while floating
  • Dive down and swim between a parent's legs or through a large sink ring
  • Push off from the edge of the pool with a straight body with arms over the head
  • While sitting at the edge - dive in the water - swim with flutterkicks
  • Holding at the edge - push off the back and do backstroke kick - rotate over on to the front
  • Dive into the water from land - Surface - Float on back - Roll over to the front - Swim to the edge - Climb up on land. No support provided
Important Information

The course lasts 30 minutes.

A parent/guardian must accompany the child in the water and must wear a swim cap 👪💦
Upon request, a second adult may stay on land and, if needed, also join in the water.

All participants enrolled in toddler swimming and other swimming lessons keep their place from season to season. The sessions are designed to welcome new participants at any time, including at the end of each season.

Payment is made monthly, with one month’s notice required for cancellation.
